Alice Stanciu | Painting

Alice (Alexandra-Camelia Stanciu) has a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design. She currently lives and works in Bucharest, RO. She has been painting and drawing ever since she could hold a pencil in her hand- it wasn’t a choice; she was born this way. Curious to learn about the myriad of options that an art-talented individual can choose from - product design, graphic design, illustration, fashion design, etc., she navigated and explored, more or less, all of the above ever since high school, meaning over 15 years.

She’s been exclusively creating her own art for the past three years, without any expectations, simply working from her heart and for her wellbeing. The hardest choice to make? To say “no” to side projects and focus only on what makes sense to her. The predominant themes in her art are related to her Romanian heritage. She has always been fascinated by Romanian traditions and mythology, by the symbols of the Romanian blouse and the way they would express the status of the wearer, by the mysteries surrounding all legends and traditions that are still respected today in the countryside, and everything in between.
