Donna Gough | Painting

Donna Gough has exhibited in the USA, Germany, and Australia, where her work has been included in the 65th & 66th Blake Prize and the Sydney VIVID Light Festival, along with achievements such as the UNSWA&D Sculpture & Installation Award. Exhibitions in Los Angeles include the Made in California shows and neon sculptures in the Miracle Mile district. A 2023 Berlin residency concluded with a solo presentation, and her recent solo show in Los Angeles featured in Curate LA’s ‘Top 10 shows to see’.

Gough uses abstract geometry to describe how we are much more connected to one another than we are separate, linking elements from drawing, painting, and sculpture to visualize connections between people and their environment. She investigates geometry as a universal language and gestalt theories of our relationship to nature, the cosmos, and ideas around our very existence - as a means to connect the dots between physical and metaphysical realms while contemplating how we as individuals are integral parts of a larger interconnected system.
