Multiple scholarships guided her practice, including at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice 2021 and Verona in 2023.
Belonging to the field of visual arts, Laura Candet uses both pictorial and artistic means to develop her artistic concepts. Starting from the premise that art has a cathartic purpose, the artist aims to deconstruct the human identity process in relation to the social-cultural space. Through the presence of deforming and defragmenting reality, the artist wishes to propose complex questions on the role of society in the formation of physical, mental or emotional human trauma. Thus, through the study of the three levels of existence and the deformation of normality, the viewer contributes to the analysis of the cause-effect phenomenon.
