Lera Izmaylova | Photography
Lera Izmaylova's journey in art started, like many others, with drawing, and she aimed to get into an architectural college. However, influenced by inner impulses, her fate took an unexpected turn, and she chose the medical field, beginning her studies as an optics specialist. At that stage, she had her "eyes opened" to a broader and deeper world of photography. This process took five years, but ultimately, she decided to leave her medical past behind and fully immerse herself in visual art.
In her creative practice, she explores two facets of life and the liminal states of life processes. She aims to captivate viewers with the aftertaste of her works, provoking them to rethink the everyday life around them. If she manages to find the "right buttons" in the viewer's soul, she believes that their reality will start to change toward what they want to see.
