Mirka Keini (b.1982) is a Helsinki-based artist, writer, translator, and producer of her own poetry events. Mirka Keini's artist profile is Mira Mink. The aim of Keini's artistic work includes aspects of the joy of writing and the promotion of learning. She also makes video art and combines image and poetry in her book works. Keini works on mobile devices and edits books and video artworks on them as well. Keini published five collections of her own poetry in 2018-2022, all of which are also published as e-books and available for sale with Isbn + in libraries. In the exhibition, a video artwork was shot and edited on an iPad device, including a wealth of poetic text and poetry and nature on film, as well as her own interpretation of Kalevala-themed images and translated poems. The subject matter is mainly nature, city or poetry. In addition, video art is partly multilingual.
Her work explores authorship through filming and texts. The illustrations that fit into everyday life create new meanings. The details, the street, and nature embody Mira Mink's urban art.
