Artist biography
Povilas Daknys (1989) is a conceptual artist based in Vilnius, Lithuania. He gets his best ideas while running. Since running his first marathon in 2013, he has explored a variety of mediums and styles, but for the last few, he has been focusing solely on conceptual art. With the background as an advertising creative, Povilas is always looking for the next big idea.
He is passionate about the future. He explores themes of technology, consumerism, and sustainability. A metallic aesthetic distinguishes his work. Metal as chemical elements, comprise 25% of the Earth's crust and are present in many aspects of modern life. His multi-cultural background, which he developed while living in a variety of countries in Asia, America, and Europe, provides a strong foundation for his work.
